Paris2Connect is a fully operational smart urban infrastructure on a 3.5-kilometre route in the 12th and 13th arrondissements of the capital. A project developed  by “Paris&Co“, the economic development and innovation agency for Paris and the metropolis.

Paris2Connect wants to turn sound into information to study road traffic and the resulting environmental impact.

A connected territory

The essence of the project – as stated on its website – is ” to offer a connected infrastructure that is as open as possible to experimentation in order to develop new services”.

First use cases are already being worked on with the City of Paris. Among them the project developed with Securaxis to monitor in real time the noise emitted by road traffic and exploit this information for traffic management and to fight noise pollution.

The installation of Securaxis sensors has been validated by the independent French administrative regulatory body whose mission is to ensure that data privacy law is applied to the collection, storage, and use of personal data (Commission on Informatics and Liberty, CNIL) as our solution is fully GDPR compliant.
